Hindus Unites against Beef Export
Oraganisations urged GOI to reject proposal or face agitation
New Delhi Feb 19, 2012. Duped by Central Government proposal to lift ban on beef export Hindu organizations today got united to fight against it. They urged UPA Government to forthwith reject its proposal for the twelfth five year plan submitted to the Planning commission in this regard.
Detailing about the meeting the media chief of VHP Delhi Vinod Bansal said that more than dozen prominent organizations of the national capital region of Delhi meet in the auditorium of Jhandewala Devi mandir and resolved that either the Govt should forthwith declare to reject its proposal to the planning commission on beef export otherwise all Hindus may come on the roads.The meeting called by Bharateey Go Vans rakshan samvardhan parishad was addressed by shri Khem chand, national chief of Cow protection wing of Vishwa Hindu Parishad(VHP), its regional head shri Rastra Prakash, state head Dr Rakesh Ranjan, GS shri Lovekesh Gaur and the office bearers of Rastriya Go dhan maha sangh, Arya Samaj, Sanatan Dharma Pratinidhi sabha, Jain samaj, Hindu Maha sabha, Akhil Bharat Hindu Maha sabha, Gayatri Parivar,Divya Yog Jagriti Mission, Bharat Gai sevak Samaj, Hariyana Rajya Gau shaala Sangh,Rastrya Sikh Sangat, Vanar Saina etc.They passed a resolution that “we may sacrifice our lives but would not tolerate any thing against our mother cow, govt must roll it back” immediately”
VHP SENT LETTER TO PM AGAINST BEEF EXPORT
New Delhi Feb 17, 2012. Annoyed by the union agriculture ministry’s proposal to planning commission to lift ban on beef export, Vishwa Hindu Parishad(VHP) sent a letter to the prime minister Dr Manmohan Singh seeking immediate rejection of the recommendations made therein.
The letter signed by the senior adviser shri Ashok Singhal, vice president shri Omprakash Singhal & the int’l secretary general of the organization shri Champat Rai has also been sent to the deputy chairman of the planning commission shri Montek Singh Ahluwalia. Terming the recommendation shameless, mindless, audacious & sad, VHP wrote that it is a hostility perpetrated against the Dharmic, spiritual, holistic, altruistic and syncretic worldview of the country. It is to note that the GOI Working Group on Animal Husbandry & Dairying for 12th Five Year Plan (2012-17) has submitted a report to the Planning Commission, Government of India. The Report, audaciously asking for permission, reads: “There is an existing Ban on beef exports; therefore it is necessary to revise the EXIM policy to allow beef export…” vide Paragraph 12.3.1 under Chapter 12 – Meat and Abattoirs. According to shri Vinod Bansal, the media chief of VHP Delhi we have reminded the PM an the deputy chairman-Planning Commission that A cow’s person is revered as hosting millions of deities. Elaborating the importance of Cow and its progeny for the causes of both Green and White Revolution, VHP said that the Mother Cow is a complete ecology that holds in the heart and ethos of Hindustan. Our history is full of sacrifices made by people, saints & sages for its protection, preservation and promotion. The good of “Gow, Garib and Dharma” has also been the triple agenda of the entire Sikh history, especially the Khalsa history led by Guru Gobind Singhji Maharaj. Giving reference of the DIRECTIVE PRINCIPLES OF STATE POLICY under ARTICLE 48 of the constitution VHP said that it is the duty of the state to “…take steps for preserving and improving the breeds, and prohibiting the slaughter, of cows and calves and other milch and draught cattle.” VHP also referred article 48A & 51A of the constitution alongwith supreme court decision dated 26.10.2005 in Civil Appeals No. 4937-4940 of 1998 State of Gujrat & other Vs Mirzapur Moti Kureshi Kassab Jamat & others in this regard. Even some Mughal rulers made cow slaughter a punishable offence and many Sant-Mahatmas and Gobhaktas (Cow Devotees) have sacrificed their lives for the cause of cow protection, the letter added. Hindus lead by Saints may come on the roads if the Govt do not forthwith withdraw the recommendations,

New Delhi. Feb 7, 2012. Vishwa Hindu Parishad(VHP) raised strong objections to the working group report on Animal husbandry & dairying for 12th five year plan 2012-17. The international organizing secretary general –VHP shri Dinesh Chandra advised UPA govt to withdraw its report to the planning commission recommending beef export and apologize to the nation before the religious & nationalists citizen of the country come out on the roads. Export of beef will not only butcher our mother & its family but it will amount a murder of constitution & dharma of the country, he added. According to shri Vinod Bansal, the media chief of VHP Delhi the Animal husbandry & dairying department under ministry of agriculture govt of Bharat sent a report to the planning commission of the country recommending lifting existing ban on beef export. Para 12.3 at page 73 of the report under Chapter 12: Meat and Abattoirs clearly recommends that“There is an existing ban on beef exports; therefore it is necessary to revise the EXIM policy to allow beef export.”. This report submitted by the working group for the 12th five year plan 2012-17 more inclined to the slaughtering of animals rather then protecting them, he added.
