The Akhil Bharata Pratinidhi Sabha of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, held at Jaipur recently, has condemned the atrocities being committed on Hindus in Pakistan and Bangladesh, and appealed to the central government to stand by the Hindus in the two countries.
Briefing mediapersons here on Thursday on the RSS conference, Sangh’s secretary for Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka Dusi Ramakrishna said Pakistan needed to be reminded about the agreement reached in 1947 for protection of minorities in the two countries after Partition.
“Today, in Pakistan, Hindus have been reduced to a mere 2 percent of the population while their number has come down from 28 percent to 10 percent in Bangladesh. More and more Hindus of those countries are turning refugees seeking shelter in India,’’ a resolution adopted by the conference said and urged the government to take up the matter also at international forums.
