TIRUMALA: A video clipping on YouTube showing a person propagating non Hindu beliefs in Tirumala created a flutter in Tirumala Tirupati Devastanams (TTD) on Wednesday. The shocking video was forwarded to TTD executive officer MG Gopal by former undivided Andhra Pradesh DGP Aravinda Rao on Wednesday.
The person who identified himself as Sudheer uploaded the visuals of his journey to the seven hills and his boasting to his audience that he could even do non Hindu prayers on his way. He even stopped his car to ask a passerby whether his poverty was gone by after his visit to the temple. He also addressed his viewers in America and said he would 'free the beautiful Tirumala from the menace of Hinduism'. He even went on to describe the pilgrims as sinners.
The TTD vigilance wing found that Sudheer visited Tirumala during Brahmostavams. Cases were booked against six other people for non Hindu propagation.
Speaking to media MG Gopal said that TTD would now enforce stricter laws to curb such activities in Tirumala.
"We will even take this to the notice of the government and seek stern action against those carrying on such illegal practices," he said.
