On the occasion of state formation day (June 2), K. Chandra Shekar Rao, the chief minister
of Telangana, unfurled the largest national flag measuring ‘72 feet by 108 feet’
in Hyderabad.
The flag was hoisted on 303 feet height pole in the city’s sanjeevaiah park and it was attended by assembly speaker Madhushudhana Chary, home minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy, chief secretary Rajiv Sharma and many more dignitaries.
As part of second
anniversary celebrations of Telangana state, Hyderabad’s monuments like Golconda
Fort, Assembly buildings, Charminar, are well decked up with lights and nearly 25
cultural programmes are planned at various venues in the city.
The government has also made arrangements in all 10 district headquarters and other prominent towns to celebrate state formation in grand style by decorating government building and significant monuments spread across the Telangana.
The Prime

Statehood Day.
