Hindus-Muslims together can make Bharat world leader: Indresh Kumar

Varanasi, December 3: Emphasizing that Hindus and Muslims are one by blood relations, senior Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) functionary Indresh Kumar said that both together can make Bharat strong and vibrant world leader.

Indresh Kumar, who is also Patron of Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM), a nationalist Muslim organization of Bharat, was addressing a congregation of Muslim women at Paradkar Smriti Bhavan on Sunday.

The congregation was organized by Varanasi-based Muslim Mahila Foundation. Former Central Information Commissioner Dr O P Kejriwal chaired the event while president of the foundation Nazneen Ansari and historian Anshuman Dwivedi were present on the dais.

In his address Indresh Kumar made a passionate appeal to save the girl child. Recalling the saying of the Prophet that heaven lies at the feet of Mother, He wondered if the girl child is not saved, then there would not be mothers in future and no heaven either.

He, therefore, made a strong case for saving the girl child, educating the girls and honoring them at every step of life. Women’s education was a necessity, he said adding that those nations progress where women are educated and honored.

He appealed to the organizers to concentrate on education of Muslim girls, inspire them for imbibing love for the motherland. He offered all possible help to Muslim girls in pursuing their education.

Stating that Muslim girls should be given full scope for religious education, secular education and patriotism, Indresh Kumar stressed on protecting their dignity and honor. Insult to women is a crime of highest degree, he said and protecting and honoring them is noble work.

They are the wonderful gift of God to us and our duty is to protect their honor. Only those who protect the honor of women are patriotic in true sense because mother and motherland are synonymous, he said.

The Prophet had said during the Mecca war that he used to get soothing cool breeze of peace from Hindustan that would settle his restive mind. Our country is such a wonderful country, he said.

Change in way of worship and language do not change our ancestors, culture and history. We are all Hindustani and same blood flows therough our veins, Indresh Kumar said.

In his presidential address former CIC Dr O P Kejriwal held the society partly responsible for the social plight of the Muslim women along with the government. Once the Muslim women are educated then only they can participate in development of the country, he said.

He appealed to them to educate their daughters and sisters so that they become self-reliant and contribute in the progress of the society and country.

President of Muslim Mahila Foundation Nazneen Ansari said that they would not be silent spectator to exploitation of womenfolk. She blamed the so called patrons and well wishers of Muslims for their apathy towards education and progress of Muslim women.

She said that Muslim women would not remain silent and raise their voice against their exploitation. She also stressed on education of Muslim women.

It may be mentioned that responding to the appeal of Muslim Mahila Foundation to help Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s one time close confident Col Nizamuddin the Muslim Rashtriya Manch and RSS extended sumptuous financial help and assistance to him in his grand-daughter’s marriage.

The conference adopted resolutions on providing self-employment to Muslim women and make 2000 families self-reliant; to speak out against exploitation of women; and to honor other religions to enhance the prestige of Islam; denouncing terrorism in the name of jihad or Islam; separate mosque for women; providing free legal aid to them; and open colleges for their education.

On this occasion Muslim women working in different fields of social awareness were felicitated at the hands of Indresh Kumar. They included Shabana Bano for social service, Shams Parveen for self-employmnet, Sidra Nausad for education, Rafia Naseeb for women’s empowerment, Rashika Parveen for training the women, Reshma Bano and Afsana Khan for health, and Girish Kumar Dubey for communal harmony.

The program started with lighting the traditional lamp and offering floral tributes to the portraits of Bharatmata and Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. Hundreds of Muslim women from Varanasi and adjoining areas attended the conference. A souvenir published by MMF was also released on the occasion.

Earlier Indresh Kumar and other guests were felicitated with shawl and citation by the MMF. The program was attended prominently by Mahiraj Dhwaj Singh, MRM organising convener for UP and Uttarakhand, Vinay Kapoor, Prof Ashok Singh, Dr Shabana Bano, Sayyad Haidar Abbas, Shahnaj Yasmin, Taslima and others.
