CPM Goons Hack RSS Activist Vineesh To Death in Kannur, Kerala

A 25-year-old Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) activist from Thillankery in Kannur district of Kerala was brutally hacked to death by CPM cadre laced with lethal weapons and bombs.

Mavilla Vineesh, barely in his twenties, was found lying dead in an alley with multiple injuries on his leg and head. The cops suspect the assault was the retaliation of a bomb attack on a CPM worker hours before the murder of Vineesh.

Kannur has been the hotbed of violence between the CPM and RSS/BJP since long. Tensions ran high in localities of Thillankery and Muzhakkunnu in Kannur. During the Janmashtami festival clashes between the RSS and CPM workers were also reported by Indian Express.

Mavila Vineesh is the latest victim of this endless violence unleashed by the CPM in Kerala. He was attacked by the armed CPM goons on Saturday near Iritty in Kannur district. His body was found lying in a nearby ally.

This incident seemed to be part of a series of attacks against RSS workers by CPI-M supporters, the last being the killing of 27-year-old P V Sujith in February in the wake of RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat’s call for talks to end the three-decade-long political rivalry between the two outfits.

Sujith was hacked to death in his Kannur house in front of his parents, who also suffered injuries when they tried to prevent the attack.

The enmity between the groups in Kannur has claimed more than 250 lives.
