Hindu Activist Killed In Tamilnadu

In the recent past, the Tamilnadu state is witnessing continuous attacks on leaders of Hindu organisations. On Thursday night, Hindu Munnani Coimbatore District spokesperson Sasikumar (36) was hacked to death by unidentified persons

Sasikumar was returning to home at 10.30 pm, when two motorcycles followed him before suddenly interrupting the vehicle and started attacking.

Sasikumar was managed to run away, but the unidentified miscreants hacked him seriously with sickles and ran away the spot. Lying in the pool of blood on the road, local residents immediately took him to the nearby private hospital and admitted there. But he could not be saved; passed away.

Hindu activists staged a protest before the Commissioner office at Coimbatore for justice.

Hindu Munnani State President Shri Kadeswara Subramaniam strongly condemned the brutal attack and called for a state-wide bandh today.

In a press staement, Kadeswara C Subramaniam, the State president of Hindu Munnani listed a series of attacks on his cadre including three murders – the latest being Coimbatore unit PRO C Sasikumar, who was hacked to death last night by a four-member gang – and attacks including arson at Vellore, Tirupur, Dindigul and now Coimbatore.

“The intelligence should have become alert and protected others by arresting the persons behind that. If it had been done, attacks would not have continued. If the government was good, the intelligence would too have been good. The government should ensure that such incidents should not happen in the future. Or else it will lead to a situation of Tamil Nadu becoming another Gujarat,” he warned.

Right-wing activists in Tamil Nadu believe that Islamist elements could be targeting Hindu nationalist leaders across the state.
