Hindupad wishes Happy Ugadi and Gudi Padwa 2011

In 2011, Ugadi also known as Telugu New Year and Kannada New Year and Gudi Padwa or Marathi New Year is celebrated on April 4. Cheti Chand or Sindhi New Year is celebrated as Chaitra Dwitiya or Chaitra Shukla Vidiya on April 5. This 2011-2012 Hindu year is known as Sri Khara Nama Samvatsara, 25th year in the cycle of 60 Hindu years.

All North Indian people celebrate the festival as Nav Varsh while Hindus in Kashmir celebrate it as Navreh or Kashmiri New Year.

In Kaliyuga Shaka 2011-2012 is 5112 year, 994 year in Ramanujabdhi, 2082 year in Aadi Shankaracharyabdhi, 1932 year in Shalivahana shaka, and 2068 year in Vikram Samvar calendars.

On the occasion of Hindu New Year (Ugadi / Gudi Padwa / Cheti Chand / Nav Varsh / Navreh /Sanvar Padvo), Hindupad wishes all the visitors and all Hindus all over the world – A Happy New Year.
