Brussels was rocked with multiple
blasts killing nearly 28 and injuring over 85 people. The two bombs were
exploded in the city’s busy Zaventem airport at 8 am local time, later after an
hour a third bomb at subway station in the suburb of Maalbeek was exploded.
Soon after this, the security agencies have shut all the public transportation
as a precautionary measure and deployed its police force across the country.
In view of these developments in Belgium,
India has stepped up security at all its airports. In spite of these incidents,
the government of India confirmed that the scheduled visit of PM Narendra Modi to
Brussels for 13th India-EU summit on March 30 will go on
Sushma Swaraj, External Minister,
tweeted that a female employee of Jet Airways was injured in the blast and she
was rushed to hospital. She also informed that so far there no reports of any
Indian casualty.
