Maoists get arms from China, not Chinese govt: Pillai
Bhubaneswar Maoists are getting arms from China, but not from the Chinese government, Union Home Secretary G K Pillai said on Thursday.
"I have never said that Maoists get arms from the Chinese government. They get arms from China and not from the Chinese government," Pillai clarified while interacting with reporters after reviewing Orissa government's preparedness to deal with Maoists.
Terming illegal arms trade as big business in the world, he said Maoists and others get illegal arms from neighbouring countries like China, Myanmar and Bangladesh.
