A draft of a proposed legislation titled ‘Prevention of Communal and Targeted Violence (Access to Justice and Reparations) Bill, 2011′ has been put in the public domain. The draft bill ostensibly appears to be a part of an endeavour to prevent and punish communal violence in the country.

Though that may be the ostensible object of the proposed law its real object is to the contrary. It is a bill which if it is ever enacted as a law will intrude into the domain of the state, damage a federal polity of India and create an imbalance in the inter-community relationship of India.

హైదరాబాద్, నవంబర్ 9 : క్రైస్తవ మత వ్యాప్తికి మనదేశంలో 18 ప్రధాన సంస్థలు పనిచేస్తున్నాయి. వీటికి అనుబంధంగా మరో 45 సంస్థలున్నాయి. రాష్ట్రంలో ప్రధానంగా కృష్ణా, గుంటూరు, ప్రకాశం, ఉభయ గోదావరి, మెదక్, రంగారెడ్డి, ఆదిలాబాద్, కరీంనగర్, కడప జిల్లాలు కేంద్రంగా మత మార్పిళ్లు జరుగుతున్నట్లు తెలుస్తోంది. ఈ జిల్లాల్లో ఇప్పటికే పది శాతం మందిని మతం మార్చినట్లు ఆర్ఎస్ఎస్, వీహెచ్‌పీ వంటి హిందూ సంస్థలు చెబుతున్నాయి.

• తమది ప్రచారం మాత్రమే అంటారు వాళ్లు.
• దాని వెనక ప్రలోభం దాగి ఉంది అంటారు వీళ్లు.
• కష్టాల్లో ఉన్నవారిని ఆదుకోవడంలో తప్పేముంది అంటారు వాళ్లు.
• ఆదుకునే పేరుతో అమాంతంగా మతం మార్చేస్తున్నారంటారు వీళ్లు!

ఏది నిజం? దేనిలో ఎంత వాస్తవం? రాష్ట్రంలో జరుగుతున్న మత మార్పిడులను లోతుగా పరిశీలిస్తే పై రెండు వాదనల్లోనూ వాస్తవం ఉందని తేలుతోంది. రాజ్యాంగం ప్రకారం మత ప్రచారం చేసే హక్కు, నచ్చిన మతంలోకి స్వచ్ఛందంగా మారే హక్కూ ఎవరికైనా ఉన్నప్పటికీ, జరుగుతున్న సంఘటనలు అంత సాఫీగా సాగిపోతున్నట్టు కనిపించడం లేదు. అనేక సందర్భాల్లో 'తీవ్రమైన ప్రచార ఒత్తిడి'కి లోనైన వారు క్రైస్తవంలోకి మారిన ఉదంతాలు వెలుగుచూస్తున్నాయి.

బలవంతపు మత మార్పిడులపై 'నిషేధం' విధించాలంటూ సామాజిక కార్యకర్త స్వామి అగ్నివేశ్ పోప్ బెనెడిక్ట్-16ను కోరారు. ఇటువంటి మత మార్పిడులతో భారత్ వంటి దేశాల్లో తీవ్ర స్పందనలు వ్యక్తమయ్యే ప్రమాదం ఉందని ఆందోళన వ్యక్తం చేశారు. దీపావళి సందర్భంగా స్వామి అగ్నివేశ్‌కు పోప్ ఓ లేఖ రాశారు. 'మతం మారే స్వేచ్ఛ'కు ఆ లేఖలో పోప్ పూర్తిస్థాయి మద్దతు ప్రకటించారు. దానికి స్పందనగానే అగ్నివేశ్ లేఖ రాశారు.

హైదరాబాద్, నవంబర్ 12 : తాయెత్తులు, మొక్కులు, కొబ్బరి కాయలు, తలనీలాలు... ఇవి హిందువులకే పరిమితమనుకుంటే పొరపాటు పడినట్లే! క్రైస్తవంలోకీ ఈ సంప్రదాయాలు వచ్చాయి. ప్రచారాలు, ప్రలోభాలు, విద్య, వైద్యం పేరిట మత మార్పిడిని ప్రోత్సహిస్తున్న క్రైస్తవ మిషనరీలు.. హిందువులను తమ వైపు ఆకర్షించేందుకు హైందవ సంస్కృతినీ తమలో మిళితం చేసుకుంటున్న తీరిది. హైందవ దేవాలయాల్లో తీర్థ ప్రసాదాలు ఇవ్వడం సరికాదని చెప్పే క్రైస్తవ సంస్థలు.. హిందూ మతంలో అనాదిగా వస్తున్న ఆచారాలైన తలనీలాలు సమర్పించుకోవడం, కొబ్బరి కాయలు కొట్టడం, అగరబత్తులు వెలిగించడం వంటి వాటిని తమ మతంలోనూ ప్రవేశపెట్టాయి.

(May 7, 2010) - Activists of the Indian-American community and the Hindu American Foundation have denounced Reverend Franklin Graham, the son and heir apparent of celebrated evangelist Reverend Billy Graham, for maligning Hinduism during an interview where he largely continued his attacks on Islam.

Activists of the Indian-American community and the Hindu American Foundation have denounced Reverend Franklin Graham, the son and heir apparent of celebrated evangelist Reverend Billy Graham, for maligning Hinduism during an interview where he largely continued his attacks on Islam.

In an interview to the USA Today newspaper on May 4, Graham -- whose father is affectionately known as 'America's Pastor' -- renewed his attacks on Islam, which he had done a day earlier with the conservative media outlet Newsmax, saying, 'Muslims do not worship the same "God the Father" I worship,' and then took a nasty swipe at Hinduism's many manifestations of God.
