For decades, impact of Hindutva in abundance exists in Bhagyanagar (Hyderabad) city, capital of Telangana. AryaSamaj worked in this direction significantly during Nizam rule. Its effect gained prominence in serveral districts. Later on, R.S.S. (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) gained some place in all districts. That, for the last three decades, Ganesh nine- day festival being conducted grandly and programme of Nimajjan taking place prominently is well known to all. At present times, Ganesh Nimajjan takes place in all the districts of Telangana. Devotees participate in lakhs during this programme. In a similar way, for the last few years, during SriramaNavami and HanumatJayanthi also, grand processions are taking place. SPELNDID SHOW OF GRAND PROCESSION
On the occasion of SriramaNavami, grand procession commencing from Rani AvantibaiBhavan at Ganagabowli in Doolpet went through with great devotional fervour and active participation. The procession beginning at 11.00 A.M. from historical Mahankaleswar temple passed through ApparDoolpet, PurnanapulChowrastha, Jummairat Bazar, Chudi Bazar, Chatri, Begum Bazar, SiddiAmbar Bazar, Gowliguda, Kothi, and continued up to Hanuman Vyayamsala of Sultan Bazar.All through the route, lakhs of devotees chanted the name of Lord Rama resulting in the reverberation ofthis sound in all the streets. During the procession, large size portrait of Lord Rama and other statues of ShivajiMaharaj, Jhansi Lakshmibai, and Ram,Lakshman,Sita pictures appeared as main attraction. Representative of Cow Protection Committee and Mangalhat BJP Corporator Sri Raja Singh under whose leadership the event took place sang several songs at many places and gave speech on protection of Hindu Dharma and these attracted all. All the places where the procession went through turned saffron. Much before the procession began, youth from different places in the city reached Doolpet holding the saffron flags in their hands and chanting Jai Sriram. As the procession moved forward, the number of youth increased in large numbers and due to over enthusiasm by the Police personnel small incidents like minor stampede took place. Every year, around 1 to 3 lakh people participate in this festival with a procession but this year more than 4 lakh people participated and it is noteworthy that 80% of them were youth.
HANUMAT JAYANTHI CELEBRATION
Hindu Society should awaken - V.H.P. Secretary Champat Roy
V.H.P. International General Secretary Sri Champat Roy called for awakening of Hindu Society. On the occasion of HanumatJayanthi grand procession that took place in the capital city went on delightfully. Public meetings were conducted by V.H.P. and Bhajarangdal in the Imperial Gardens. Sri Champat Roy who attended as Chief Guest explained about the greatness of lord Rama, strength of Hanuman, Rama-JanmaBhoomi dispute, and about how demolition of Babri Masjid took place. He also narrated that it is the Hindu Society that exists in our country Bharat and Hindus possess lofty quality of taking inspiration from the lives of all great men. All festivals like Rama Navami, MahavirJayanthi, Ambedkarjayanthi and HanumatJayanthiare celebrated grandly by the Hindu Society. Lakhs participated in the rally.
Earlier, V.H.P.General Secretary Sri Raghavulu speaking on the occasion narrated that entire country celebrates Hanuman Jayanthi joyfully. He explained that despite the efforts by the British for 200 years to disrupt unity among Indians by creating caste, religious, language and regional differences, it did not work. He also said that the whole country responds in a similar manner about the motherland, festivals take place on the same day, all Gods are one for all the people of the country and Bharat is Jagat- Guru for the world. He explained that the three seed-letters that appear in Jai Sri Ram reflect the glory of Agni, Sun and Moon and to rise to the level of most powerful personality, chanting of this Mantra is sufficient. Hanuman converted his strength into devotion, he said. Human should convert into divine and to lead an ideal life one should emulate the lives of great personalities, Sri Raghavulu exhorted.
HINDUS SHOULD UNITE - Sri M.V.R.Sastry
Sri M.V.R.Sastry,editor of Andhra Bhoomi, a Telugu daily said that time has come for Hindus to unite once again. He said that everyone should acquire the strength of powerful and wise Hanuman. He further said that Hindus do not know their strength and though they are 80% of the population, since they are divided on caste, group and regional lines, those numbering only 13.8% of the population are becoming majority and becoming big vote banks and Governments are bowing to them and conceding to their demands. During 1880, a great cow protection movement took place and it is time for such a spirit of movement to once again start, he exhorted. He further said that lot of awakening and solidarity were generated during RamajanmaBhoomi movement and such awakening should again come.
Sri M.V.R.Sastry exhorted that power should go to Hindus and they should dedicate themselves for achieving this on the advent of inspiring leader Sri NarendraModi.
