Secular brigade’s gameplan

As the Bisara incident shows, secularists just cannot see beyond elections, communal combinations like Yaduvanshis, Muslim-Yadav, minority vote-bank, Dalits, Mahadalits. They have no other flicker of hope to grab power Known ‘secularists’ are out to take maximum advantage of the inhuman tragedy in Bisara village near Dadri. And be sure, they will go to any extent to exploit every possible occasion to fuel the fire of communal hatred.
It is indeed shameful that a man was killed by some goons just on the basis of suspicion, biases or prejudice. This indicates inadequacy of levels of civility and highlights the sensitivity of social and communal bonds that stands eroded by myopic politicians for petty personal gains.
The family of Mohammad Ikhlaq suffered the unstoppable rush of politicians and the unprecedented umbrage of words from the mouth of sundry people. The death of the family bread-winner shocked and shamed every right-thinking Indian. The point to ponder is: Why and how such tragedies still happen? The secularists turned it upside down: Blame it all on the political party that has practically sent them all to their sunset, much before they were ready for it.
Believe me, they just cannot see beyond elections, communal combinations like MY, and Yaduvanshis’ support, minority vote-bank, Dalits, Mahadalits. They have no other flicker of hope to grab power once again. They see no other colour than saffron; and would like people to believe that secularism is being overshadowed by saffronisation. They want the whole world to know; and Mr Azam Khan goes to the United Nations pleading that India is being converted into a ‘Hindu Rashtra’ — so come and help the Indian Muslims.
Revert to 2001-2004. Right from Parliament to Press, the secular brigade was shouting hoarse against the conveniently-defined ‘saffronisation’. It took its concerns for secularism to the highest court of India. A Supreme Court Bench of three judges ruled emphatically on September 12, 2002, that the recommendations — to make children aware of the basics of all religions, let them know the commonalities and nurture respect for differences — were  in no way  against secularism. Not only this, the court went on to add that these would strengthen the basis of secularism. In fact, it should have been done 50 years ago. The court appreciated that every teacher shall remain conscious of being an inculcator and developer of values also.
Five values were identified as universally acceptable by all religions and faiths: Truth, Peace, Non-Violence, Righteous Conduct (Dharma), and Love. Thus, following this verdict of the Supreme Court of India, textbooks, right from class one to 12, were prepared at the national level by the NCERT. In May 2004, a secular conglomerate of various political parties came together and formed the Union Government.
Within days, all the newly developed textbooks were declared ‘saffronised’ and junked. Parliament was informed that these would be replaced post-haste to save the country from the ills of saffronisation. A new curriculum framework came within a year and secular textbooks prepared on that basis were hailed in the known quarters which have ideological access to  what is called the ‘national media’. The Government changed in 2014, causing jitters amongst the secular lobby, as it expected a repeat of 2004 vendetta.
To its surprise, this did not happen. Many of the cronies changed colours and have gleefully stuck to their posts and positions and are unhesitatingly, doling out favours to their lackeys. In some rare cases, the new Government had to make some senior-level appointment. And the secular lobby is ready with their microscopes and telescopes to denounce each one as the return of ‘saffronisation’.
The Bisara village tragedy has made it clearly evident how injurious it would be to ignore the antics of the Leftist lobby. Prominent secular columnists, intellectuals and worthies are informing the nation that in India, there is no love for the cow; it is only a ploy to express hatred against Muslims. Simple: Indians (read majority, the Hindus) are hate-mongers and are using the cow to denigrate and persecute the minorities (read Muslims). The cow is only a tool, forget all about astha, love and worship! These things have no meaning for intellectual and political heirs of Marx, Lenin and Mao. They believe in long-term strategies that serve their ideological pursuits.
That is why they bargained with Indira Gandhi and took control of the educational institutions. They have succeeded in putting their people in the right places, from South Block to universities; and in practically every institution of some worth. Even a peripheral acquaintance with their ‘Aryan Invasion’ theory would reveal to an alert citizen how they stuck together to support anyone from their flock, even if he may be totally off the mark in his academic premise or findings. Research, or no research, Aryans shall always be put in textbooks as ‘outsiders’. After all, they have to see the present scenario the politics of the day, and the ‘Aryans as original habitants of India’ does not fit in to their scheme of things.
In another instance, in 1976, the Left-lobby persuaded Indira Gandhi to put in the term ‘secular’ in the Preamble to the Constitution of India. She was not unaware of their intrigues and refused to put ‘dharamnirpeksha’ in the Hindi translation. Some prominent secularists still resent the use of ‘panthnirpeksha’ in the Preamble.
These people had their own interpretation of secularism and they brought it in the Preamble to subsequently use it as an apolitical tool. After all, the framers of the Constitution were neither communalists nor against secularism. To them, the entire Constitution was woven around the principle of equal respect for all religions. But the self-styled secularists had nothing to do with ancient India, its values and the traditions of pursuit of knowledge, wisdom, social cohesion and religious amity.
