NIA Cracks On IS Suspect's Houses In Hyderabad, Seizes Live Ammunition



The National Investigation Agency (NIA) continuing its crackdown on suspected Islamic State module in Hyderabad. The agency conducted predawn raids at three locations in city and seized 17 rounds of live ammunition along with some computers peripherals, based on information retrieved from five persons arrested on July 1.

The agency searched the residence of arrested Habeeb Mohammed in Barkas area and as well as other two premises in Talab Katta, one at Ibrahim Yezdani’s and other at Bhavani Nagar. The seized items include, 17 live rounds of 9 mm calibre, computer and scanners alleged to be used by suspects for online communication with their handlers in Syrai and Iraq.

According to NIA officials, during interrogation Ilyas Yezdani, the arrested operative, disclosed that they have taken a written oath of ‘oath of allegiance’ to the IS Caliph and send the scanned copy to their handlers.

In addition to this, the suspects also divided their roles to carry out their plans, Rizwan (assumed name-Abu Hasan) was in charge of accounts as ‘Mahasib’,  Ibrahim Yezdani (Abu Abdur Rahman) was in handling communications where as Ilyas Yezdani was looking into religious affairs. The procurement of arms and ammunition was taken care by Habeeb Mohammed.
